The Math Teacher Development Continuum (MTDC) is a national professional learning program developed by the Bob Moses Research Center in partnership with the Algebra Project. Through a series of online courses and in-person convenings, MTDC supports K–12 math teachers, coaches, and instructional leaders in strengthening math content knowledge, deepening instructional practice, and building student-centered classrooms.
Structured across three levels, MTDC courses focus on:
Level 1 – Math content and practice by grade band
Level 2 – Instructional strategies and student learning
Level 3 – Coaching, leadership, and professional learning communities
Participants earn micro-credentials as they demonstrate growth and apply new strategies in their schools and districts. Rooted in the legacy of Bob Moses and the Algebra Project’s vision, MTDC is building a national network committed to math literacy as a foundation for civic participation and educational opportunity.
